Jeromyah Jones is a freshman at Hampton University majoring in architecture. He is an accomplished artist from Richmond, Virginia and has done numerous one-man art shows and group exhibitions. Jeromyah is the son of Jerome and Kemery Jones. He is following the creative footsteps of his father who is a professional fine artist. Jeromyah's goal is to become an internationally renowned architect. Artist Statement"At this period in my life I feel that it is my duty to be a leader in life and in the world of art. As a painter, my mission is to portray and define the true essence of beauty. I believe art is the universal language that has the power to speak to the hearts and minds of the young and old. I hope people will recognize the love, the hunger, and dedication that I have for painting. I want my work to inspire, enlighten, and uplift those who have the courage to look beyond the technique, the images, and the colors that unite the physical composition. There is a personal yet universal message that lies beneath the surface of each painting. Fortunately, I discovered at a young age that Art is more than drawing, painting, sculpting, and performing. Art is a movement, a joy, and a revolution. She is the song I sing, the poetry I write, and the truth that was given to me. She is the lesson I receive and the message I teach.
