The Art of Jerome W. Jones, Jr.
"The Painter's Poetree"
"Biography"
Jerome W. Jones, Jr.,
a resident of Richmond, Virginia, is an artist who is gaining national acclaim
for his unique and diverse collection of artwork. He is a 1980 graduate of
Virginia Commonwealth University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in
painting and printmaking.
In 1987, Jones founded The
Painter's Poetree. This full-time business features
Jones' original paintings, limited and open edition prints, poetry in cards and
books.
Jones has always known since childhood that he was an
artist. He acknowledges that his gift to paint and to write poetry comes
from YAH. His Love for Life can be seen in his portraits, still lifes
and nature scenes. The artist enjoys working in acrylics on canvas to
produce each work of art. Faith, family, community and the beauty of the earth
are the themes that flow through his artwork.
Jones' creative style of portraiture reflects the likeness of his
subjects and what they love to do. The artist believes every home should
own art that exhibits the heart and history of the resident so the viewers will
know "who I AM, what I AM and where I AM"
The art of Jerome W. Jones, Jr. is in the collection of The City
